Hospital Birthing Bath

The BirthWorks Birthing Bath has been designed specifically to meet the increasing demand for practicable, aesthetic and sensibly priced Hospital Birthing Baths.

The bath design benefits from BirthWorks' considerable experience of water and birth and the requirements of midwives and mothers alike.

It can be supplied pre-drilled with waste and side panels, ready to be installed. Or without pre-drilling - with submersible pump and hoses, to be used in any room until money is raised for permanent installation in its final setting.

Features

Rectangular shape
Curves can be beautiful but the straight sides of this bath enable efficient use of room space and allow other hospital equipment (eg the bed) to be brought alongside if necessary. Midwives can easily reach the pregnant woman.

Strong and safe
Almost impossible to damage in use, this bath is made of easy to clean fibreglass. The surface is non-slip when wet or dry.

Sloping back rest
The angled back rest allows a comfortable semi-reclining position for the birthing mother.

Double waste fitting
This allows for rapid emptying of the water in approximately four minutes.

Wide flat rim
The rim has a gentle curvature and can be used for midwife, mother, or partner to sit on or lean against.

Safe depth
The bath is deep enough for the baby to remain safely under water during the final stages of birth, yet not too deep for midwives' backs.

Roomy
There's ample room for two if partners choose to brave the waters.
